I caught a thread on AVSForum where it seemed that you were discontinuing the current player. Does that mean there's new ones coming? I saw mention of a 903/905 player from that same thread and forum member as well. Can you offer any details? Me needs to know! 😇

Unfortunately, without any basis in fact or knowledge, a particular member of AVSForum frequently disseminates misinformation and distorted context as it relates to Magnetar. That particular user was removed from this forum for violating our policy relating to disrespectful conduct and misinformation both within his first handful of posts. Any information positioned or presented as knowledge in relation to Magnetar business by this user should be treated as simply throwing darts with blinders on to pass the time.
As with you, the statements of "expecting" a "903" or "905" player was the first we had heard of that ourselves. Darts that miss the board and the wall itself.
There is no plan to discontinue the current players and we apologize for the confusion. Further addressing only a small portion of the absolute drivel we've seen posted, you will not be seeing major price cuts, the products are actively and will continue to be supported with firmware updates on the frequent, and this will not be changing for the foreseeable future. We have taken notice of an ever growing pile of darts on the ground in this users case.
The launch of future products are in no way indicative of the discontinuation of the current products. In fact, such a notion couldnt be more misinformed as time will demonstrate. Presented with contextual accuracy as a direct reply to a direct question placed on us for a bench test, our current focus is on the larger brand building, current product improvement, and upcoming product development. Each product enjoyed a respective product based PR campaign on launch and we continue to evaluate any media requests on a case by case basis today, while focusing on the larger long term future of Magnetar. Each Magnetar product has been widely reviewed and validated by both media and other experts in the industry starting in 2022. Anyone was/is free to bench test at any time going back or going forward. With the US division in its infancy, distribution issues in the rear view, we're growing rapidly and increasing brand and product awareness through significantly increased marketing. The result is shown as we're adding new dealers weekly and its all about the future here.
This is the place you want to be for accurately disseminated information and updates. We appreciate you asking as we are always interested in insuring that customers have direct contact and are provided with accurate information. That was a piece of the very stimulus to creating this board from our management. Another mandate from management is that we not have the corporate wall or stigma that many CE manufacturers place between the customer and themselves. This results in treating and communicating with customers as humans, speaking candidly and transparently and not in scripted cut & paste "support" for the purposes of reduced costs and brevity. We call it like we see it and we think this is a good way to be.
