  I just installed the update on my unit.  I tried a few CDs that exhibited clipped audio previously.    No more clipped audio on them.  😁

  I mostly use a soundbar with the TV, the audio gear was for occasional use only.  That's why I don't turn off the HDMI audio.

  Setting HDMI to off requires going into the player's settings, turning the TV's sound to zero is easy.  I'm lazy.  😁 I did try turning the player's HDMI audio off, thinking it might help...
