I tried a couple of cd's and I get these results-
Track Title: (Empty)
Track Type : CDDA
Channel Type: STEREO 44.1khz
The strange thing is when I put in an SACD it shows the correct info. Just for fun I set the 800 to play the cd layer of the SACD and when playing the CD layer also shows the correct info.
I am on the latest fw.
DVD-A and BR-A discs have the info imbedded into its video portion.
You're not missing a setting.
The player must not be reading the imbedded data on CD's or processing it correctly.

1) Not all CD's contain metadata. Please see the below links. One shows the player with a CD which includes metadata on the disc (Ozzy) and one file that shows a CD without metadata (Matchbox).
a) with metadata: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/g07yw6s5nqpir81vt5ttg/ozzy.mp4?rlkey=a96k2qvs6xa90ws6aztqsyz84&dl=0
b) without metadata: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ciha0fwxw34aku3o081g2/matchbox.mp4?rlkey=twz342lirjzelvfy0cr24vgf1&dl=0
2) Metadata is not required in the redbook (CD) spec and your mileage may vary as to what discs have it and what doesnt
3) SACD is an entirely different authoring process where metadata is required as part of the spec, thus why you see it in every instance, whether you are accessing the SACD or the CD layer.
4) DVD-A and BR-A are completely unrelated CDDA audio and authoring in every way.
This is not a player issue, but we do appreciate your note.
